My Boss Tuner Pedal Review on The Boss Tu-2 Chromatic Tuner:

Now before the Boss Tu 2 tuner I had a Korg Guitar tuners specifically a Korg D10 guitar tuner, the silver one, it was my pride an joy and the main reason for buying this guitar floor tuner was that everyone was shouting about it, .plus I just recently broke my last tuner pedal…..(didn’t i tell you I was hard on my pedals)

Anyway I bought the boss tuner pedal for £59 however i just checked on Ebay and you can these now for $89 with free shipping. I thought the price was reasonable especially when my BOSS TU15 is the same price and that’s not even a stomp box style…..

The main attraction to the boss tu-2 chromatic tuner was that it was so easy to use it’s pretty much plug and play, I mean that. There are more functions to the pedal like if you want to use different tuning styles like The Stream mode basically simulates a strobe tuner. Or tune in different keys etc…but hey it did it for me with my 1st tune and it recognised that I wanted everything a flat down.

The 2nd attraction of this boss tuner pedal is that the TU 2 is built more solid than Arnie and all his Terminators , i must say its so well design I especially love where the 9v battry is place, …
The pedal is also small enough to not get in the way, and the lights are very visible , however I have read reports that its hard to read out in the day time……however I haven’t had this problem yet , which I did with the korg d10

I did not notice either a deterioration of my tone, so that’s a good sign even though the pedal inst a true bypass.

From my experience the Boss Tu 2 pedal is very accurate in tuning, I have use this in recording and live, however I do know there are other pedals out there even more accurate than this like the StroboStomp2 , however I haven’t tested them yet and they are much more expensive more than double the price of a Boss tu2 ….

My conclusion is the Tu 2 Boss tuner pedal is one the best tuner you can get for its money , its the industry standard , it will do extremely well both in live gigging and when recording, it will last the distant and its so easy to use…it a guitarist must have especially is you gigging, plus the boss tu-2 chromatic tuner not too expensive!
